Venetian Opulence minus beads ...

... is done. Except for that black spot beneath the fan, but I ran out of that color. (Pardon the fuzzy pictures :-\) And I just ordered the beads from ABC Stitch today. She'll be done soon.

I spent a week working on Crystal Symphony, it's a little over 1/2 done and I just cannot work on her any longer. I just do not like that one. For oh so many reasons, but my biggest pet peeve with that one is that Nora had some sort of brain malfunction when she was making the instructions. For example: color 931 can be either / or \. OK. You pick which one you want it to be. Humph. (nothing on her website for errors) BUT both / and \ are used in the instructions, but no options for the other color. I am not a designer. I have enough figuring out what to do with the hands and feet on her designs, much less which colors to use. :o)

Reminds me of the reason why I stopped going to Albertson's: they tried to force me one morning to use the self service lane with an entire cart-load of groceries (they had no cashiers working). I am not a bag boy. If I wanted to do it myself I would go to Winco or something similar. Sent them an interesting letter about how Albertson's was no longer "My store". But that's neither here nor there. :o) Just a rant.

Anyway. Looks like everyone had a lovely holiday that I could see, me as well. Interesting to say the least. :o)

but she's here nonetheless. I don't have a whole lot left until she's done.... if you don't count the beading. And the rest of the Kreinik. And that flipper of a left hand I just *must* do something with. I finished the upper right corner this morning while playing hookie from work.

It's supposed to be in the upper 90's again for the next coupla days. Us Oregonians start complaining if it gets above 80 so we have a bit to complain about the last month or so. Yes, not as bad as most other places, but for us, it's just ... wrong.

Still here, and still stitching ...

I've finally got time to stitch as I quit my second job (I was to the point where I was working upwards of 120 hrs/wk. Whew. Tired.)

On the plus side I've been stitching on Venetian Opulence exclusively for a month now. Here's a picture (cell phone pic so blech) I'd forgotten how much I've missed stitching.

I'm hoping to update more than bi-yearly but I'm not going to make any promises this time. :o)

Well now ...

I've been a bad blogger now haven't I? Over 2 mths since my last post. Shame.

I dunno how many, if any of you, read my other blog, but I'm working 2 full time PLUS jobs (that's 88 hrs - minimum - a week ladies) so I'm keepin' a bit busy. {:-) Haven't stitched much of anything since I last posted either. Did a few Xmas ornaments, which makes no sense as I don't do anything for Christmas. :o) Have been crocheting like a fiend though. Found this really cute and fast pattern for scarves and have made about 15 in the last few weeks. I'll take a picture (hopefully soon) and get it on here.

BUT, I'm here today 'cuz I popped open my email and found this little beauty for sale (click! CLICK!! I SAY!) and just had to order her ... just 'cuz. :o)

I'm gonna try and head off a potential bad blogger streak here ...
